Deerfield Beach, FL -The first ever-Afghan fighter to compete in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and represent Afghanistan, 170 pounder Siyar Bahadurzada has chosen a manager to guide his career and it is none other than Glenn Robinson of Authentic Sports Management. Today announced that Bahadurzada is the latest UFC athlete to join the Blackzilians and Team JACO and to train out of JACO Hybrid Training Center in Delray Beach.

"I'm so excited to be in South Florida with Team JACO and to train with the Blackzilians on a daily basis," said Bahadurzada. "If you think of a MMA dream team you would think American wrestlers, Brazilian grapplers and Dutch strikers in one team, and the Blackzilians here in South Florida offer this kind of sparring partners. Besides training with guys like Alistair Overeem, Rashad Evans, Tyrone Spong, Jorge Santiago, Gesias Calvacante and Melvin Guillard is exactly what I need to become the welterweight champion of the world. Glenn Robinson is a great man with great intentions for his athletes and I trust him and I know he is doing everything possible to set all of us up for success now and in the future."

It is a pleasure to work with Siyar as he has great work ethic and is a true leader and we are thrilled to have him as the newest Blackzilian and member of Team JACO," said Robinson. "Being from Afghanistan, his upbringing is unlike that of any other fighter. He's slightly crazy and not afraid of anything because of where he's from and the things he's seen. He is going to storm his way through the welterweight division and quickly become one of the biggest names in the UFC."

Known for his incredible striking, Bahadurzada (21-4-1) demonstrated that ability by knocking out former UFC welterweight title contender Paulo Thiago in his first UFC fight in Sweden earlier this year. Currently, the Kabul-native is on a seven-fight win streak and owns a total of 11 wins by KO, and six wins by submission and 16 of the 17 finishes happened early in the first round.

Bahadurzada was born in Afghanistan and moved with his family to the Netherlands when he was 15 years old. He attended Arnhem University in Holland and earned a Bachelors Degree in International Business and Languages. He speaks six languages including Dari/Farsi, Pashto, Urdu/Hindi, English, Dutch, German.

He was introduced to mixed martial arts in 2000 when he began practicing just for the fun of it. After successful amateur career he turned pro and began racking up wins and taking titles. He is a three-time and reigning Shooto Champion at 183 pounds, as well as the Glory World Series 2010 and 2011 welterweight Champion.
