Just Signed!
February 1st, 2012 07:35 PM MSTDeerfield Beach, Fla. – Authentic Sports Management (ASM) today signed rising 185-pound prospect Kendrick “Big Problem” Miree and announced that he is the latest mixed martial artist to join the Blackzilians. The 6’2” resident of Atlanta is a dominating finisher who holds an undefeated record of 4-0. He has stopped his opponent in all of his professional fights, with three of those ending in the first round.
“I think Authentic Sports Management is a dynamic organization and I appreciate having someone like Glenn Robinson looking out for me,” said Miree. “Glenn goes above and beyond for us, plus he’s put an all-star team of athletes and coaches together in the Blackzilians. I can’t wait to start working with everyone and to take my fighting and my career to the level.”
“I respect Kendrick Miree, he is a great person and I think he has incredible potential in the middleweight division,” said Robinson. “With his character and his work ethic, he fits right in with the Blackzilians. I am looking forward to seeing him succeed not only in fighting, but also in his goal of one day owning a gym in Atlanta and coaching the future champions of the sport.”
The charismatic 28 year-old Michigan native made his pro debut on April 22, 2011 when he submitted Ryan Bedini with a first-round armbar. He was back in the cage three months later, and he added another name to his list of victims with another first-round submission, this time against Lathan Jerrico. Then in October, Miree pulled off his third-straight finish, again submitting with an armbar against Michael Alford. He ended the year in December with a first-round knockout over Dave Vitkay. Miree finished the year as a professional, undefeated fighter on a four fight win streak.
As the newest Blackzilian, Miree is taking his training and fighting to the next level. With some of the top light heavyweight and middleweight fighters in the world around him, including “Suga” Rashad Evans, Tyrone Spong, Anthony Johnson and Jorge Santiago, as well as a world class team of coaches, it won’t be long before the world of MMA knows “Big Problem” is here to stay.
