Kendrick Miree

Born in 1983, Kendrick’s upbringing in Saginaw, Michigan, was rough, but as he grew older it improved. With the adversity came determination and glory. He considers it a blessing to have sports as a way to channel his energy toward something good and for having a close-knit group of friends and family. Excelling in sports, in high school Kendrick found a calling in high school wrestling, and soon began earning accolades in the highly competitive Big 12 State of Michigan.

In 2001, he became the Michigan High School Wrestling State Qualifier in the 171 lb. weight class. He also earned honors as the Saginaw All-City Champion and Most Valuable Player of Arthur Hill High School Wrestling Team. He also earned first place in the 189 weight class Summer Open Camp Tournament at “Suga” Rashad Evans’ alma mater, Michigan State University

The following year, Kendrick became the first wrestler in Arthur Hill High School history to have over 100 wins. For the second consecutive year, he earned honors as the MVP of Arthur Hill High School Wrestling Team. He graduated as the Michigan All-State Wrestler in the 171 lb. weight class, and as the Saginaw All-City Champion.

In 2010, Kendrick began training in mixed martial arts with the highly respected American Top Team. His potential in the sport was soon realized after he took first place in nationals at the No-Gi Beginner Light Heavyweight division at NAGA.

Later that year, he won two combat sports titles, the ISKA Tennessee Light Heavyweight Championship, and Bangkok Fight Night Light Heavyweight Championship.

Last year, Kendrick won his pro MMA pro debut on FightZone on FoxSports Network with a first round submission over Ryan Bedini. He followed that up with three more victories in 2011, all via submission and KO with no fight going out of the second round. Kendrick has now joined with Authentic Sports Management and the Blackzilians in his pursuit of fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization’s light heavyweight division.
